Ingredients:
- 8 oz (2 cups) elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup whole milk (or any milk you have)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
- Make the Cheese Sauce:
- In the same pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the milk and heat gently until warm (don’t boil).
- Gradually stir in the shredded cheese, a handful at a time, until melted and smooth.
- Combine:
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately and enjoy creamy, cheesy goodness!
Optional Additions:
- Mix in cooked bacon bits, steamed broccoli, or a pinch of garlic powder for extra flavor.
